Burnout Counselling for Moms
in Burlington, Ontario

Calm Guidance offers burnout therapy and counselling for moms in Burlington, with virtual appointments across Ontario. If the mental load of caring for everyone else has left you exhausted, this is a place to focus on you.

Individual burnout counselling is support for you as a person, not a parenting lesson or a whole-family therapy session. Motherhood can be deeply meaningful and still leave you depleted. You may feel touched out, irritable, guilty for needing space, disconnected from yourself, or responsible for remembering everything. Counselling gives you somewhere to put the mental load down and receive support that is focused on you.

If ADHD traits, masking, or executive-functioning demands may be contributing to burnout, explore our adult ADHD counselling for women in Burlington, Ontario.

The invisible load of motherhood

You can love your family and still feel completely depleted.

Moms often carry the planning, anticipating, soothing, scheduling, remembering, and worrying that keeps a family moving. When that load never switches off, concentration, sleep, patience, relationships, and physical wellbeing can all be affected.

Counselling offers a judgement-free place to be honest about resentment, guilt, anger, loneliness, identity changes, or simply feeling tired of being needed. Together, we look at what can change and what support or boundaries are realistically possible.

Common questions

Good to know before you reach out

How much do individual sessions cost, and are receipts provided?

In-person individual sessions are typically $150 for 60 minutes. Please confirm the current fee, session length and virtual options when booking. Receipts are provided; reimbursement depends on your clinician’s designation and the terms of your benefits plan.

What if my burnout may be connected to ADHD?

ADHD-related masking, executive-functioning demands, emotional intensity, and the mental load of work or caregiving can contribute to overwhelm. Our adult ADHD counselling page explains support for women in Burlington, Ontario, and virtually across Ontario. A formal diagnosis is not required to contact us.

How do I know if I am experiencing mom burnout?

You do not need to diagnose yourself first. Ongoing exhaustion, irritability, resentment, numbness, anxiety, or feeling unlike yourself are all valid reasons to reach out.

What if my responsibilities cannot change immediately?

Support can focus on boundaries, coping, communication, recovery time, priorities, and reducing the emotional cost of demands that remain.

Can I talk honestly about difficult feelings about motherhood?

Yes. This is a judgement-free space for the feelings mothers are often afraid to say out loud. Loving your children and finding motherhood difficult can both be true.

Are virtual appointments available?

Yes. Counselling is available in person in Burlington and virtually across Ontario.
